Mixer or Meal? Why not both?

It is August which means, summer is winding down. HOOORAY!  It also means that I have a birthday! I turned six this year.  I had a fabulous party. I got my very own steak and my own birthday cake from  Three Dog Bakery. I would highly recommend their cakes. Mine was peanut butter flavor. I had lots of reasons to celebrate, one of them being my weight. When mom took me to get a bath, they had me hop on the scale, it read 46.8! Goal achieved!

IMG_3489

They say lime green is the new black. I make this color look darn good.

Anyhoo, back to the important stuff. What I got to try out this month. So many different choices. I went with my favorite brand of food/treats. Merrick Pet Care. You have seen me talk about their stuff before. It really is a brand we trust.  They have continued to come up with new recipes, ideas, and products for the best dog ever. (which is me in case you are confused)

I got to test out Merricks Backcountry Freeze Dried Raw. It comes in Chicken, Beef, and Salmon. I got to try out the Chicken recipe. Chicken is my absolute favorite. This can be used as a meal mixer or as a complete meal. It can also be used as a treat.

IMG_3508

As my loyal readers know, I’ve been on this dang diet forever. I was unable to have my favorite food, Backcountry Game Bird recipe because I needed a lower fat content food. This food mixer helps me get the raw bits I love with my crunchy food. You know those kids who eat the marshmallows first out of their cereal? Yeah, I am one of those kids, except the raw bits are my tasty marshmallows. I eat all of those first, then eat the kibble.

IMG_3517

Look at those big pieces of yumminess! Mom just tosses them on top of my food, because she knows I will just sniff and pick out the raw bits anyways.

What exactly is inside these meal mixers? The first five ingredients are deboned chicken, chicken liver, dried potatoes, potato protein, and chicken broth. It also contains fruits, veggies, vitamins, and minerals. When I was fed Backcountry kibble plus raw in my pre diet days, the yummy  bits were pieces of  raw poultry that had been freeze dried. The meal mixers contain other ingredients because it can be fed as a meal. They want to make sure we get all the nutrients we need on a daily basis.

If you do choose to feed this as a meal, make sure you add 1/4 cup of water to each cup of the raw bits.  After your human handles the meal mixers they need to wash their hands thoroughly since it does contain raw meat.

This is an excellent alternative to my Game Bird Backcountry recipe. It is very tasty and is nice to have something a little special in my bowl at meal times. We only used this as a meal mixer instead of a complete meal.

Mom likes that it is grain free and does not contain any artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors.

If you are thinking about going to a raw diet for your pup, this is a good way to start. It allows you to see what they think of a raw diet, before changing over.

I give this four paws up. I am pretty darn excited that I get to have raw bits again. I was pretty sad when I got switched to a food for chubby pups. I am also holding out hope that Merrick will create a chubby pup Backcountry kibble. That way I can keep my weight down and get that raw meat I love.

Ingredients may be small, but taste is big!

We all love eating treats. Some treats just have one ingredient like a dehydrated chew. It contains a meat or a veggie that is dried. Some treats have a zillion ingredients (most of the stuff I cannot pronounce or have any clue what it is), and then there are treats that contain a small amount of ingredients. Today is all about LIT (limited ingredient treats).

These treats are targeted to those pups that have allergy issues with ingredients. Pups that have sensitivities need yummy treats too and LIT treats can give them just that. These treats are grain free as well.  They are also aimed to help in digestive health.

This month had lots of different treats and food to choose from, we decided that since we like the idea of LIT, we would give  Natural Balance L.I.T. a try.

IMG_2514

Natural Balance L.I.T. come in two sizes Regular Breeds (14 oz) and Small Breeds (8 oz).  I got to try out the Sweet Potato and Venison flavor. The regular size has 30 calories a treat and the small one has 8 calories per treat. They come in six different flavors and the calorie content varies by flavor.

The Small Breed are packaged with smaller sized treats. As my readers know, I am on a stinky diet until pigs fly. So those smaller treats would be great because the flavor is still there, but I can have a few instead of just one!

We were sent the Regular Breed size.  The size is just right for  dogs that are my sized (50 ish pounds)

IMG_2520

See that focus? Eyes on the prize kids, eyes on the prize.

IMG_2518

They can be broken up, but might be easier to get the Small Breed size, if you are going for the lower calorie count.

These treats are pretty tasty and I kept begging for more. They are super crunchy. When you bite into the treat, little bits of the treats going raining onto the ground. So might  be easier to feed on a surface that is not a rug or carpet. I still licked it all up because I do not leave messes.

We like that they are crunchy, limited ingredient, grain free, offer two sizes, and that they have many flavors to choose from. Mom likes that they do not have any odor that is offensive to her nose. Some of my treats can be stinky to her, but wonderful to me.

We have tried other Natural Balance products and these rank just as high those other products. I give these treats four paws up!

We cannot think of any cons for this treat!

Check out my Instagram post and watch me in action crunching on these tasty treats.

Eating raw part duex

So earlier this month, I tried out some tasty raw treats. Now it is time to talk about raw food toppers. Raw food toppers go on top of our kibble or as a stand alone meal. Before I was put on my diet, my food had freeze dried raw bits included with the dry kibble. It was amazing and tasty. I would pick out all the raw bits first, then move on to the kibble part. Mom likened it to a kid eating the marshmallows out of the cereal first. I missed having that in my food.  They do not have a diet version of that yummy food. When I found out I could test out some freeze dried raw toppers, I said yes please!

The company that makes the topper is called Stella and Chewy’s, it is a company we have heard of, but have not tried. They make meal mixers, super blends, dog food, cat food, and dog treats. They are made right here in the USA. They get their proteins from the North America, New Zealand, and Australia. They make sure that only the best goes into their products. That is something that we like. Being picky about what we eat is not  a bad thing. It is scary how many recalls we read about, so making sure our food comes from a trusted source is a top priority.

I got to test out Grass Fed Beef Recipe Superblend. It has beef of course and a blend of nutrient rich super foods! It contains 90% beef, nutrient rich organs, and bones. Plus has lot of  fruits and veggies (no peas!!). Probiotics, minerals, and vitamins are also added to make sure we have a balanced diet.

IMG_2323

It comes with a scoop so that your human can measure  the right amount to give you. Each scoop is 75 kcal, so make sure the amount of dry kibble is reduced, so we don’t get overfed. If you are going to get this as a stand alone food, 2 tablespoons of  cool or warm water can be added to the freeze dried bits to re-hydrate.  The bits can be fed on their own, if that happens, we need plenty of fresh water available for us. Your human should wash their hands with hot water and soap after handing this product. They should also make sure our bowl get cleaned as well after we are done eating.

Raw food helps with digestion, our skin and coat, stamina and vitality, and helps out our chompers. Why not add some fun and tastiness to our already yummy kibble?

Mom showed me the bag and I sniffed and was very interested. I got to sniff the scoop of raw bits before it was added into my food. I really wanted to eat right out of the scoop!

IMG_2330

Mom added the scoop and I got to eating, I ate all the raw bits, then moved on to the kibble. What can I say, raw bits are really tasty and I want to eat that first.

IMG_2332

I says it is a compliment to the chef! It was very good and I even ate the freeze dried superfoods. Usually I only eat blueberries if they are in a muffin. This is definitely something that I would want added to the rotation.

I got to have this a few days in a row and each time I made sure to eat all the raw bits first before moving on to my regular food.  I really liked this and it comes in different proteins. They also have chicken and duck. For small breeds, they have a chicken version for them. I certainly would like to try duck and chicken. I love those proteins.

You know how earlier I said we are super picky about food? Well Stella and Chewy’s went one step further in earning my humans trust. You can enter in the lot number from the bag and get test results from harmful bacteria they test for. We did exactly that and our food tested negative for all that nasty stuff that so many things get recalled for. No listeria, salmonella,, or e coli was found in my bag of meal mixers. Having a company do that makes us see that they are serious about safety. We do not have to worry that later on something I ate could contain something that could hurt me.

So both mom and I were pleased with the meal mixers. I thought it was super tasty and cannot wait for my next bag to be ordered. Mom is happy that they go above and beyond when it comes to using quality ingredients and their level of food safety.

I give this four paws up! Click here to check out all the Stella and Chewy’s products that they have to offer.

Chewy.com offers a lot of other great products for dogs, cats, and other pets. They also have the best customer service! (trust me, they treat their customers like family)

A Chewy a Day Keeps the Tarter Away

This month is pet dental month. Just like hoomans, us dogs and cats need to keep our teeth healthy. Problems with teeth can lead to health issues, stinky breath, loss of teeth, and pain because bad teeth can make it hard to eat our food. Icky kitty is 14 and he just had his teeth cleaned. The vet said he is looking pretty good for a cat that old. No teeth had to be pulled, but they did reccommend brushing his teeth to keep them clean.

My chompers are looking pretty good for a five year old pup. Last vet visit, I was told a teeth cleaning was not needed for me. I bet you wonder how in the heck I do it? Well I get a chewy everyday to help keep my chompers looking good and breath smelling fresh.

Since it is dental month, lots of different dental options were offered to test out. I do have my normal chew that I get daily, but mom decided we could try out a different one in case it was better and I preferred it over the other.

The dental chew we tested out was Greenies, which is  a well known dental chew. We felt that it was a brand we could trust. We all know that when it comes to me and stuff that goes in my tummy, my hoomans become complete weirdos. So my regular dental chews were put up for a bit and we went with the Greenies.

img_1951

Before my hoomans switched to dental chews, they did try their best to use a toothbrush to clean my chompers, however I am known as a PITA,  so they looked for other options to help clean my teeth. They tried a dental cleaning liquid that was added to my drinking water. I started drinking less water when they added it to my bowl. It is very important that we get plenty of water, so that idea got nixed. They finally decided to try out dental chews. I have tied out various ones, but we are always on the lookout for a better one that I enjoy as well. Calorie count is always figured in when choosing a chew to add into my daily rotation.

Greenies is recommended by vets and it helps remove plaque and tarter buildup faster than a toothbrush can. There are many different varieties for us to chomp on. They also are easy to digest. When you look at them, the first thought might be, am I eating a toothbrush? It looks just like one!

img_1954

So now on to what happened after I tested Greenies out. I did think they tasted okay. If I am not liking they way something tastes, I will spit it out and walk away. The chew did take longer to eat than my normal chew which is a good thing. Longer lasting chews mean more time that it is helping to remove plaque and tarter. I was able to easily break it up into pieces without too much trouble.

The next day, I was offered another Greenies chew and happily took it from mom. That pretty much is my seal of approval. I would happily eat these chews as an alternative to my usual one. They were tasty and I liked that they lasted longer.

Mom has to put her two cents in though. She has her likes and dislikes. First she likes that it takes me longer to chew. My usual one is a little bit smaller, I can break it up into smaller pieces much faster. She also says they are less stinky than my usual chews. When you open the bag of my usual chews, this wonderful smell pours from the bag. Mom says there are a lot of other words to describe it, none of which are wonderful. She likes that they come in different varieties. They have a weight management chew for dogs that are older and not moving as much or dogs that are dieting. They have grain free treats, hip and joint,  mint flavored ones, and ones that are blueberry flavored.

Of course mom has to find the one negative thing that makes it difficult for her to choose this chew for me as a replacement for my daily chew. The calorie count. The  chews for large dogs are 152 calories a piece. We all know by now that my treat calorie limit is 80 calories. That is almost double the amount for my treat allotment. The small regular chew is 95 calories, still over the limit. We might switch to the regular chew and use it sparingly. I really like these treats and mom feels that they are working. My breath is not that stinky and my teeth are looking pretty. Mom is thinking that the best way to still get the benefits of Greenies, but not destroying the diet, would be to use Greenies a couple times per week and my regular chews the other days. I would only be getting 30 extra calories instead of 105 extra calories. It is a win win situation. Mom still gets to be strict on my diet and I get to have a tasty chew that is helping me have pretty chompers.

So our final verdict is 3 paws up. One paw removed because of the high calorie content. That is only because of my silly diet. It truly deserves four paws, but my small weight issue prevents it from completely replacing my current chew.

You can check out me enjoying a Greenies chew on my Instagram page here.

You can find Greenies at Chewy.com. Since they are a product that can be fed daily, you can save money by using autoship!

Meat free can be pretty tasty!

You did not actually think I would allow the cats all the tasty goodness this month did you? I noticed that there were many other dog options to test out. Those stinky cats trying to trick me by saying it was cat only stuff to test out. You can teach us tricks, but you certainly aren’t going to trick us.

Icky kitty aka Bater likes two brands of food to eat. One of those brands is called Halo. I noticed that this month, Halo dog treats was one of the things we could test out. They are called Halo Healthsome. They are also vegetarian treats!  That means that the treats contain zero meat. Now I know I have gone on and on about how I am a descendant of the mighty wolf and I need my meat. Well that is very true, but this is a treat. Totally different rules apply when it comes to treats. Food = meat, treats = whatever is good and tasty, but also healthy.

img_1841

These are crunchy biscuit treats that contain peanut and pumpkin. They also have lots of other veggies. The complete ingredient list is as follows: Potato Flour, Ground Peanuts, Tapioca Flour, Ground Peas, Canola Oil, Pumpkin, Tomatoes, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberries, Carrots, Split Peas, Broccoli, Parsley, and Ascorbic Acid (a Preservative).

We like that these treats have ingredients that you can actually pronounce with ease and can find most of those ingredients in the produce section at the grocery store. Even though peas are in the list twice, they make it so you cannot actually tell that peas are inside. It is trickery, but tasty trickery.

img_1846

The treats are pretty big. They are 27 kcals a piece. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while now, know that I am on a stupid diet. My treats are limited to 80 calories a day. My dental chew takes up 40 of that, so only 40 calories left for my treats. I can have one of these with my dental chew and still have calories left for a couple training treats. A girl that has to watch her calorie intake will indeed make sure that she gets the max amount of treats allowed.

img_1849

Now that we got all the stuff about calories and ingredients out of the way, you probably are wondering what I thought about these meatless crunchy treats? I loved them! They are super crunchy and tasty. I licked them and crunched them, and made sure I licked up all the pieces that fell. I even got to have three whole treats! It was for testing purposes, so that one extra calorie is okay. I tried to get one more treat from mom, but that was not  happening. She said I had enough and would have to wait until the next day to get one more.

Mom says the treats smell just fine. They are not stinky at all. She is weird like that. She smells all my treats. She said they smell like people food. Duh! It is made from people food. She wishes that they were less calories, but they can easily be broken in half to cut down on the amount of calories.

So mom and I are both happy with these yummy vegetarian treats! I give them 4 paws up. If you would like to learn more about Halo Healthsome Treats then you should totally click here

Chewy.com has other Halo food and treats to look at as well as so many other things!

Since we had to say goodbye to Vine, we are using Instagram to showcase my treat eating skills! Check me out here.

Crunchy on the Outside, Beefy on the Inside

Thanksgiving is just days away and soon it will be all about the turkey, but today we talk beef! This month I decided to stick with what I knew and I know that Wellness makes some pretty good treats. We have reviewed a few of their products and have not been let down. This month was no different. I got to try out Wellness Core Grain Free Marrow Roasts. They are crunchy biscuits that have real meaty marrow inside. They are only 11 calories a piece for the Hearty Beef Recipe. The Turkey recipe is 11 calories as well.

img_1392

The marrow roasts treats are grain free, contain no by products, and list the meat protein as the first ingredient. That is very important to us. Carnivores want meat. We cannot stress enough how important it is when choosing food and treats that meat is listed first. If I wanted some veggies,  I would hit up the salad bar. It does list peas and sweet potatoes as other ingredients. I suppose that is okay since I cannot actually see any of the veggies. Down with peas! I have a huge hatred of peas, but since I cannot see them, I deal.

img_1397

As you can see the treats are not very big, so they could work for many different sized pups. I was very excited when mom held out her hand and could barely sit still while she snapped a few pictures. I wasted little time scarfing down these tasty morsels. This is probably the first time that we can recall that my treat contained marrow. I have very picky hoomans and they will not let me have just anything without researching first that it is okay for me and that the product was made in a country that has deemed acceptable to them. These treats were made right here in the U S of A.

img_1398

I am not quite sure you can see the look of intensity that is on my face. I am in full on give me my treat mode. I did indeed gobble them up like they were the last treats on earth. If I am unsure about a treat, I will drop it and lick it a few times before I pick it back up and eat it. I did not do that at all with this treat. I immediately got to chewing and swallowing and looking at mom with my best head tilt for another treat or five! I give these four paws up and hope that the Savory Turkey Recipe finds its way to my tummy in the near future.

The treats are over my 5 calorie limit because of the diet, but because I am extra cute, mom made an exception. (in reality it just means I don’t get as many treats per day because of the higher calorie count)

You can find these treats on Chewy.com as well as a lot of other great Wellness items. Check out Chewy for all your dog and feline needs.

Watch a nifty vine video here of me first trying out the treats.

Good Ole Southern Cooking

Ahh, October is finally here. The month where it finally gets cooler and I can go for lots of walks without getting too hot. Cooler weather means stews, casseroles, and other yummy food to warm the tummy. This month we decided to go with a canned food instead of treats. It seems that at my last vet visit, I was told that I still needed to lose weight. I should be at my 1 year weight and that is 10 lbs lighter. So the diet lives on and treat calorie amounts are being written down so that I do not go over my daily amount of 800 calories. I am allowed up to 80 calories a day of treats. My dental chew alone takes up half that!

Anyways back to the more important stuff, food that I can eat. This month I picked out some yummy Merrick Pet Care food. I love their food, I have yet to find a food from them that I did not enjoy. This months selection did not disappoint. This months choice is called Smothered Comfort. I have to say that I love all the names Merrick comes up with to name the canned food. They all have such fun names.

img_1133

Smothered Comfort lists Chicken as its first ingredient, actually chicken is its first three ingredients! Lots of chicken in this food. It has a whole chicken thigh! Seriously, a whole thigh, now some of you might be a little worried that the bone could hurt our delicate tummy. No worries, the chef cooks the thigh to make the bone all soft and okay for pups. It is seriously the first thing I usually go for when mom sets a can of this stuff down. I like grabbing up the thigh and chomp chomp chomp. It is that delicious. Who wouldn’t want to have visible pieces of meat in their food?

After the super good chicken part, it also has sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, peas, potato, and blueberries. Plus all the vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy. I did not see any of the peas, so that was a good thing. I have a love hate relationship with  peas.  I hate them, but mom loves for me to eat them. It has 380 calories per can. Mom can feed me two cans of this and still have 40 calories left for treats or 1 dental chew. It is also grain free for all those pups who have allergies or sensitivities to grain. As far as i know, I am okay with grain. It is  nice to know if I were to have issues that I have tasty options.

img_1136

img_1140

I am more of a stew kind of pup than pate.  I like and will eat the pate, but I do love lapping up the gravy when given stew type canned foods. Mom likes that she can see the ingredients. She prefers to see the stuff they put in my food.  Seeing the ingredients listed on a can is on thing, but it is another thing when you can spot the blueberries, carrots or the dreaded peas. It makes the hoomans feel a little bit better about what they are feeding us.

As you can see from the pictures, I wasted no time getting my mouth into that tasty goodness. I did not want to stop and pose for pictures, I wanted to just keep on eating, but I was patient until the puparazzi was done and I could eat at my own pace (which is speed of light) I give this four  paws up. It got my “eat it like it is running away”seal of approval. Plus it also received the “going back to the bowl to lick it over and over again to see if I missed a spot” seal of approval.

img_1127

Merrick is a brand we trust to always provide food that is tasty and good for me. They have so many different varieties and are always coming up with something new. They have so many proteins to chose from, I can eat a wide variety and not get bored. You can learn all about their food here or at Chewy.com

Check out me chomping down on Smothered Comfort in my vine video here

As always check out all the great things that Chewy.com has to offer, plus they offer auto ship, no more running out of food. Ask your hoomans first though. They tend to get upset when us pups get a hold of the credit or debit card.

Who is a good pup? I am!

I had so many different things to choose from this month to test out. The kitties had quite the selection as well. In the end,  it was decided that the kitties can wait and I get to test out some tasty treats.

We  decided to test out ZiwiPeak Good-Dog Treats. We had not heard of the company, but a quick read about them ensured that it was a brand we could trust. The Good-Dog treats come in 3 different varieties. Beef, Venison, and Lamb. We were sent the lamb.

img_0721

They contain 95% premium New Zealand meat. That is a lot!!! Seriously, if a treat contains meat, it better contain a lot of meat and not a bunch of filler ingredients. Remember, we are descendants of the mighty wolf. Wolves like meat, not a bunch of things that you need a dictionary to figure out what it is. The treats list 5 ingredients. FIVE! I am pretty sure most hooman treats contain twice that.

We know that my hoomans are pretty picky on what my treats are made with and how many calories they contain. These treats contain 4.5 kcal per treat. Mom prefers my treats be under 5 calories. I am still supposed to lose 4-5 pounds. When I get my bath or nails clipped at the vet, she weighs me.My last two nail clippings, the scale read 52.6 lbs. I am supposed to be 47. The yearly visit is approaching and we shall see what the vet says. I am hoping I get to just stay at 52 lbs. I think it suits me, plus it would mean I get more of those high calorie  treats.

These are a soft jerky treat that can very easily be torn for smaller pups or for training purposes.

img_0725

They smell very yummy to me and mom says they don’t stink. Not sure what actually stinks. I think everything smells delicious.

img_0728

I thought the treats were very delicious. I got to have three in a row! They are nice and chewy. I do love a good crunchy treat, but sometimes, a soft treat hits the spot.

ZiwiPeak Good-Dog treats are grain free, plus they contain parsley which can help cure that awful doggy breath that hoomans complain about. They are also air dried which helps keep the goodness inside the treat.

If you are looking for a soft treat that is low in calories, tasty, grain free, meaty, and friendly to pups young and old, then look no further. Try out a bag of Good-Dog treats!

If you would like to know more about ZiwiPeak treats and food, visit their site here to learn more.

Apples, cinnamon, and lamb! Oh My!

I am on a total Wellness kick! I really love their treats, so no surprise, that I chose another Wellness product to review this month. I am actually out of my Wellness treats because some strange dog broke into my home, ate them all, then left the empty  torn bag to frame me. Mom was not happy about that one, but she was happy that because they are low calorie and very limited ingredients, I did not have tummy issues and do a number 2 in the house. Yay? Strange thing to be happy about, but hoomans are weird.

Anyhoo, this month I tested out Wellness Petite Treats. They come in four different varieties. I tried out the Lamb, Apple, and Cinnamon ones. They are 4 kcal/piece. If you have read my other posts, you know the struggle I am dealing with currently. My daily treats must be in the single digits. Mom and dad prefer 5 or under, but will go up to 9 kcal per treat. I have yet to get weighed at the vet again, so how well I am doing, remains a mystery since my last 1.2 lb weight loss.

IMG_9780

These are soft treats and the packaging says over 100 treats per bag! That is a lot of treats. Some of the other flavors have over 150 treats per bag!

I am pretty used to Wellness treats now, so the moment I was offered one, I ate it up and was looking for another one. The package says for small breed dogs, but lets face it, when you are a big dog and have to lose weight, you need the small low cal ones. I really loved these treats. They have everything I want in a treat, yummy protein, a little spice, and my favorite fruit. They are great also for training. I am hoping to get to try the other three flavors!

IMG_9781

The treats are grain free, wheat free,  and free of any of the fake stuff that no one can pronounce. It does contain yummy ingredients that are tasty and  has flaxseed which keeps my coat looking shiny and pretty.

These treats are so yummy that even one of my kitty brothers tried to steal one. I may have given him a very short GRRRRR to which I was told to be nice to my brother if I ever want another toy ever again. (empty threats).

You can find this and a lot of other great treats, food, and toys at Chewy.com

Below is a link to a vine video of me being a gentle pup while taking a Wellness Petite Treat  from mom.

Mary had a little lamb and it was very tasty.

****************I was given this product at no charge to me, in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts, pictures, ideas, tail wags, paws, and stuff are solely my own and my thumbs that type this up for me****************

Small in size, but mighty in taste

IMG_9125

This month I decided to test out Good Dog Blueberry Cobbler Dog Treats from Sojos. I do love my treats and I only dropped 1.2 pounds since the last vet visit, so treats are still being restricted. What is great about these is that they are very tiny,  low calorie (3.42 calories per treat),  and perfect for those training sessions my hoomans insist I need to keep doing to remain well trained.

They are so small, that I look like a Great Dane next to these things!

The first time I got to try one, I did drop it right on the floor. I can be very weird when it comes to new treats, I will sniff it and push it around, lick it a few times, then eat it. After I did my investigation, I  gobbled it up and begged for another one! Since that time, I  have eagerly accepted a treat every time.

Sojos Blueberry Cobbler treats are pretty tasty. I can have two or three of them, instead of just one of those high calorie ones. The tail is wagging when mom or dad gets the bag out. They did have to put it in a resealable bag as it did not come in one, and we prefer to keep the treats as fresh as possible.

On to the stuff that matters, well matters to the hoomans that buy us stuff! It contains only natural ingredients. The blueberry ones contain Oat flour, rolled oats, blueberries, canola oil, vanilla, eggs, honey. Did you notice, that every ingredient can be pronounced without any issues, and there is a good chance you probably have most of those ingredients in your house right now?  Yep, that is a very good reason to buy these. No crazy artificial stuff and they are made in the USA!

They do come in 4 other flavors. Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherds Pie, Apple Dumpling, and Peanut Butter and Jelly. Those all sound pretty good to me and they contain nothing artificial either!

I give these four paws up. I love them and am glad that I have another low calorie treat that is yummy and good for me!

You can find these treats and a lot of other great stuff at Chewy.com

Watch a vine video here of me enjoying one of these pawsome treats!
